I attended Victory Bible College in 1995-96. I can honestly say that it dramatically changed my life. It was at VBCI that I fell madly in love with the church and with church planting. Shortly after Bible College I moved out to Canmore, AB to assist with the new church plant and in 1998 became the Senior Pastor there. I would never have discovered my call had it not been for the time I spent with the pastors who taught at VBCI. I am forever indebted to them for the input they have all had in my life.

I came to VBCI to fulfill a desire I had in my heart and an "inner tugging" to fulfill my potential. I thought it was too late in my life to go back to school. The necessary revelation I received in class expanded my thinking and freed me from the negative thought patterns that were keeping me from experiencing all that God had for me. After taking a step of faith to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Christian Counseling, so many areas of my life opened. I was able to maintain my career while earning the degree and appreciated the flexibility of the program to allow the balance of career and education.

The two years that I spent at VBCI were life-changing and empowering. Each and every day I spent in the classroom, God revealed Himself more and more to me and with those revelations came life-changing moments. Also, through the anointing that flowed through every teacher that stood up at the front and through daily fellowship with students and staff, I was challenged and taught to become all that I can be in Christ. For me, Victory Bible College was not just a school that I attended to learn about Jesus, but it was where I learned how to live, act and change the world like Jesus did.

When I decided to go to Bible College, it was because I wanted to learn more about my faith. But after my year as a student at VBCI, I realized that it was more about my relationship with Jesus and trust in God than simply believing. And from that, I learned about who I really was. I gained a new confidence – and not because of me, but Christ in me. Now I continually seek His guidance and wisdom and sing His praises for who He is. I am thankful for my time at VBCI and the things God taught me there.
